Project Gallery
The following are a collection of projects from my time at White River Elementary and the University of Michigan School of Information,
Indiana Libraries Out Loud
Indiana Librarian Leadership Academy capstone project. Indiana Libraries Out Loud is an advocacy toolkit designed to help librarians of all kinds easily access the information and resources needed to advocate for their library programs. The tool kit is hosted on the Indiana Library Federation website. To the right are the logo design for the website, and the bookmark I created to distribute during our poster presentation the Indiana Library Federation Annual Conference, 2014.

Community Newsroom Game
Video Games and Learning, Final Project.
As my final project for Video Games and Learning, a classmate and I designed a game with the goal of motivating students and adults to become "citizen journalists" in their communities. Our game design includes several levels, incorporates theories on motivation and learning, and aims to build skills in not only reporting, but also writing ,and alternative forms of reporting the news, such as video and artwork.
Recently Community Newsroom was chosen as a finalist in the Knight News Challenge competition, resulting in an internship in game design for my partner, Emelia Askari. Below is a link, not to our game, as it is still a concept, but to our presentation outlining the components of the game and the theories behind them.

Also, a presentation on motivation, learning, and gender representation in Super Mario games:
Mario Kart & Bowser's Inside Story
Co-presenter: Julie Rick
